About
Originating from Belfast and based in Amsterdam, Jack Hamill is the hardware cosmonaut behind Space Dimension Controller, a project blending electro, house, synth-funk and science-fiction storytelling. Breaking through in 2009 with the dreamy electro-funk 12-inch The Love Quadrant, Hamill signed to R&S Records and emerged as part of a new generation reshaping UK dance music. His work stands apart for its mix of nostalgic influences, cinematic world-building and hardware-driven production, drawing from Prince and Brian Eno to Cluster and the experimental electronic underground. Across releases for R&S, Clone Royal Oak and his own projects, Hamill has built a distinctive catalogue spanning dancefloor-focused electro and house, krautrock, braindance and ambient textures. As a DJ and live performer, he is known for unpredictable, genre-fluid sets and an instinct for following mood over convention, bringing the same exploratory approach to clubs, festivals and concert stages.
