Alex is a mixer, producer, guitarist, and member of Total Blue alongside Anthony Calonico and Nicky Benedek. He has a passion for all forms of dub and creative processing techniques. With a full spectrum love of music, he is equally familiar with detailed vocal-focused arrangements, raw energetic dance, and wild textural ambient styles. He has mixed and co-produced projects on Music from Memory, L.I.E.S., Apron, Leaving Records, Nothing But Net and contributed guitar on Blue Note, Brownswood and BMG releases. Alex loves to discuss various pre and post production strategies, unique uses of synths/samplers/FX, approaches to integrating hardware and software, historical production methods, esoteric sound design techniques and the simplest but most important qualities: energy, emotion, mood, perspective!

Total Blue records a private video breaking down your track — mix, arrangement, sound design, or whatever you ask them to focus on. It lands in your inbox and you can watch it whenever you want, as many times as you like.
Early sketches are often the most valuable to get feedback on, before you get lost in too many iterations — but finished tracks work too if you want a second opinion or to get on the artist’s radar.

Most feedback arrives within a few days. If Total Blue hasn’t responded within 7 days, you’re automatically refunded.
