Alex is a mixer, producer, guitarist, and member of Total Blue alongside Anthony Calonico and Nicky Benedek. He has a passion for all forms of dub and creative processing techniques. With a full spectrum love of music, he is equally familiar with detailed vocal-focused arrangements, raw energetic dance, and wild textural ambient styles. He has mixed and co-produced projects on Music from Memory, L.I.E.S., Apron, Leaving Records, Nothing But Net and contributed guitar on Blue Note, Brownswood and BMG releases. Alex loves to discuss various pre and post production strategies, unique uses of synths/samplers/FX, approaches to integrating hardware and software, historical production methods, esoteric sound design techniques and the simplest but most important qualities: energy, emotion, mood, perspective!
