Max Gaertner is a percussionist, producer and author based in Frankfurt, Germany. As a specialist in contemporary music performance & (live-)electronics he collaborated with artists and ensembles such as Marina Abramoviç, Lynsey Peisinger, Ensemble Modern, Berliner Philharmoniker. Collaborations with renowned international artists and composers led to numerous world premieres as well as guest recordings on award winning records. His research in percussion techniques, electroacoustic music performance and education have been published by SCHOTT Music and ARE edition. In 2021 Max gained his doctoral degree (Dr. Phil.) for a research on performing eletroacoustic compositions for percussion. He received several scholarships and is currently teaching at the University of Hamburg. Max Gaertner is publishing music under his own name as well as aliases megks and Makkusu Tori. Besides producing his own music & sample packs he is also composing for film and the gaming industry.

    Guten Morgen Max, ich als alte Hessin habe mich sehr gefreut ab und an ein "ischweißgarnet" gehört zu haben 🤣. Total interessant was du sagst. Und sehr hilfreich! Am 1. Mai war ich in deiner alten Heimat Frankfurt im "Blaues Wasser". Backstage bei DJ Koze und Ada. Dort habe ich mich zum Horst gemacht und Flyer von uns mit QR Code drauf verteilt. Aber das schönste war, dass ich mich bei Stefan Kozalla für seine Musik persönlich bedanken konnte und er mich dann umarmt hat. Der Einblick in die Szene hinterlässt gemischte Gefühle. Da waren die Künstler und die die das Geld damit machen und dann noch die Leute die was vom Glanz abhaben wollen. Vielleicht meldet sich ja jemand und wenn nicht egal, ich war am Freitag mit meinem Producer Lehrer von Vibra im Studio um die Platte zu Mixen und zu Mastern. Das war fantastisch. Mein Mann, der eigentliche Künstler, musste leider arbeiten. Also, ich mache weiter auf Social media, schau vielleicht mal in LA vorbei und melde mich bei Distrokid an und versuche mal das mit den Playlists, Ein Liveset mit meiner Videokunst erarbeite ich auch gerade und dann mal schauen.     Hallo Max, ganz lieben Dank für Deine Worte! Ich bin super glücklich über Deine Rückmeldung und dass Du dir die Zeit genommen hast dich intensiv mit unserem Album zu beschäftigen. Dirk wird es nicht glauben, wie gut es gefallen hat. Mein Mann ist von Haus aus Schlagzeuger, arbeitet aber mit Ableton. Gemeinsam entwickeln wir dann die Songs weiter. Ziel ist es, sie als Liveact zu verpacken und mit den der Videokunst zu verbinden. Ich habe nur noch eine Frage. kannst Du uns ein Label empfehlen, dass noch Demos annimmt und wo wir hin passen?
