Sakura Tsuruta moves effortlessly between roles as a producer, performer, Ableton Certfied Trainer and is known for creating soundscapes that blend haunting rhythms with gentle, ethereal harmonies. Originally from Hiroshima, Sakura began her journey with her debut single Dystopia, which found a spot in Beatport’s Top 100 in the Electronica/Downtempo category. She followed this with Made of Air in 2020, an EP that helped establish her as a unique voice in the genre. Her 2022 LP C / O, later reissued on vinyl by Mule Music, reached listeners internationally, and her next release, GEMZ, is due out soon on Seb Wildblood’s all my thoughts in November 2024. Sakura is dedicated to nurturing new artists, teaching at various institutions, including a workshop for her alma mater, Berklee College of Music. Through Echio, she shares her insights on sound design, creativity, and developing a unique artistic voice and identity - perfect for anyone wanting to learn music production.
