Omari Jazz

About

Omari Jazz is a composer, producer, and visual artist based in Portland, Oregon, whose music blends ambient textures, downtempo rhythms, and jazz-inflected experimentation. In addition to his debut LP 'Dream Child', Jazz has produced a number of remixes for artists like Hiatus Kaiyote, Son Lux and Salami Rose Joe Louis. He’s scored critically acclaimed films (Gaining Ground: The Fight for Black Land), collaborated on high-profile sound design projects (Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains, Lil Uzi Vert’s Eternal Atake), and released the eponymous 'Black Decelerant' LP with Contour on renown label RVNG Intl. With each project, Jazz invites listeners into thoughtfully curated sonic worlds that linger long after the music stops.

Early sketches are often the most valuable to get feedback on, before you get lost in too many iterations — but finished tracks work too if you want a second opinion or to get on the artist’s radar.
