I was very satisfied with Rrose's feedback on my track. Practical and clear feedback, suggesting useful ideas structurally and technically whilst also understanding my vision for the track. And some useful artistic references :)
Thanks a lot for your on point and also very encouraging feedback! Really simple tweaks which will hopefully bring the track further once again. Can't wait to try around and implement these and to share the update.
Awesome feedback from Rrose: detailed, thoughtful and actionable. They really engaged with the track and dug deep into the minutia. I intend to take their suggestions to new material rather than iterate over the track I sent. Much appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend approaching Rrose for feedback.
Seth's feedback pushed me as an artist where I needed to go. The feedback was critical and honest, and accurate. I am greatly appreciative.
Thank you so much for your valuable feedback, Philip. I updated the hi-hats as you suggested and the track sounds much better now. Thanks again!
Thanks for the thoughtful feedback. Your suggestion of moving toward a larger album/package is very helpful. I hope you have a great summer!
Very helpful feedback, it helps me focus on the specific things i have to improve in my track
Thanks a lot for this great feedback ! You helped me spot the issues in the track. More movement and modulation seems to be the key. I took note on every point you made and will work on it. Thanks again, very precious and helpful feedback in order to improve :)
I highly appreciate philosophical reflections about the music creation process. This is something that helps me understand this phenomenon more deeply and gives me tools for further critical "evaluation" of the result. As for the track, I totally see what you mean about this airy thing and connecting it deeper with the rhythm, I'll definitely try to do that. Also, this "morphing" approach that you mentioned is always on my mind, but often it's somehow hard to implement while keeping the balance... Something I should train more for sure :) Thank you very much for the comprehensive feedback!
Thank you and till next time! :)
Thank you! Great overview and really useful suggestions!
Thank you very much! Very useful recommendations! I totally agree with your philosophy on ambient.
Thank you for your feedback! I will definitely try to remove some elements from the main distortion and working with subgroups. best!
Thankyou so much for the feedback. Lots of good clear tips to help improve the track - will put the new version for some more notes once I've done!
Thank you so much for your very precious feedback ! This were very interesting tips on how to improve the production. You helped me clearly identify the things that needed improvement in the track and also made great technical suggestions in order to achieve more interesting sounds. This was what I needed to hear in order to make progress. Thanks again for the quality of the feedback ! <3
Thank you very much for the detailed review! Your thoughts about the pad are very insightful. Now I'm always keeping in mind the technique you described :)
Luigi thank you! This was the exact kind of feedback I was looking for. Yes, I have slink and I will experiment more with modulating possibilities. You have given some great thinking points, I will put this feedback into action. Thanks again for your time!
hi Phillip - Thanks for listening! Apologies for the late review - I greatly appreciate your feedback and have taken your your opinions on my track on board. Yes this distortion was intentional however i may of overdone it a little :) Reminder note to self - Never send Efdemin a demo with a overly distorted kick drum. Thanks for your kind words on my structure and the feel of my track and the tip you shared regarding ducking etc - I should of send you my other finished tracks as they have waaay less distortion. Anyways thanks again and bests - Nabil
Thanks a lot for listening my track with such an acuity :) Your compliments moved me and your final advices are precious.
Hi Phillip! It's kind on crazy to hear my track in the background while you are talking :) Your comments are very useful and I will work it through to make it more of a banger and less mellow :) Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for the heartwarming feedback Phillip, it means a lot! I'm really glad that you liked my sound and resonated with the ideas therein. Your thoughts on simplicity were reassuring. And I'm so happy that you're keen on playing my track and also recommend it for being released. I very much appreciate the advice to try and make instruments sound a bit more abstract (ie. you can't identify which instrument produced the sound but it still feels organic and natural, if I understood correctly). And also the advice to add a little rhythmic pattern to create tension. Would love to send you more tracks in the future over Instagram (@jai_juu) or any other preferred platform if you're keen :) Thanks again! Best wishes, Jai
Thank you so much for listening! It means the world to me how much you liked it. This song resonates with me more than any song I've made, and for you to feel so strongly about it gives me a lot of confidence. In the days leading up to your feedback response, I was plagued with self doubt, questioning parts of the song/mix etc. and to hear your feedback confirming that the track was finished just gave me an ecstatic boost. Hearing the feedback from an artist like yourself who I listen to and respect greatly is a little surreal for me and I'm so thankful for echio and you for the opportunity!
Hi Philipp Thanks a lot for your words, some tears went out from the emotion I am super happy, this words from you has no value ,I am just working a lot, I took some time just for me to do what I love and after years I see some result that fix my soul and if it is possible try not be obvious, I love an history in a track and I try to make it the same time danceable and playable ,is my passion and this track I hope can represent it. I am super happy about the result and that you want to play Philipp it’s a dream!! Danke!! So I applied and worked with that elements, not really easy as you said I found a lot of resonances on the mixing way I had to cut frequencies quite drastically leaving the idea of the track much possible as I can do. I played with the element that you said to appear and disappear and hope that is what you thought and what I thought when I listen you words , and at least I find a solution that maybe can work, I hope so! Thanks again Philipp!!! I wait your words about this version that I hope you like !!
Good morning Phillip! Thanks for taking the time to listen and for the quick response. Your feedback on the shaker and the approach on how to make it walk on the stereo field, really resonates with me. Will also work on the part towards the end which has that teasing effect because of the more loopy sound, I feel what you mean and your comments inspire me :) Thanks for your helpful advice. Looking forward to sending new projects. F
Thank you Phillip for this feedback - it so happens the drum elements you highlighted to revisit were the only two elements that were not recorded from hardware as these were samples layered in Ableton afterwards! I welcome both ideas... re-sequencing the snare and swapping out the hi hat for a ride cymbal will likely preserve the floaty vibe which is what I always intended for the track. I think your idea of a melodic bass-line is really great and is something I'll explore when I revisit the track too.... perhaps even introducing the melodic bass-line on the breakdown and for the second half. Great ideas. The track is indeed already mastered but I will revisit for a version 2. Thank you again. I will certainly send more tracks in future if you are available too! Daniel
Thanks Rrose! Very-very valuable feedback and further direction, everything you've said is on point. I'll try you next time when it's a new track that is still up to changes.
I like the way he is connecting with me and the music I'm creating. He has a lot of knowledge and gives me smart feedback on tools and technical issues.
Hi Luigi, thanks this process has been very useful to me. My approach to mix has matured now, in a way i look more objectively at my new arrangements. Kick drum and drum and bass sounds i am placing better in the overall arranngement. Thanks for your help, take care, sending love, Simon
Hi, Luigi! Thanks so much for the additional feedback. Really appreciate it and it's very helpful. Great fine tuning notes to dial the kick and bass / low end and particularly with the dynamic EQ. Apologies for a late response, but thank you!! :)
Hey Luigi, thanks for the honest and detailed feedback! much appreciated. I have learned a lot and applied it in other tracks too
I am very grateful for Luigi's feedback, which gave me some new ideas and inspiration for production. I feel more confidence in my track production now, let it keep going! :)
Thank you Luigi for this review. This helped me a lot! I didn't expect such a detailed and precise review, thank you!
Hi Seth,Thank you so mutch. You been precious again!
Hi, thanks for the feedback! My idea was to do something very strange, so your feeling was what I was searching for from a listener. I’m constantly battling two sides of my artistic expression: doing club music or doing music “for listening”. I think you immediately spot this duality, and it made me think more deeply about the fact that those two sides probably should be kept separate and not merged as I did in this track (and also in many other). I will probably try to extrapolate two tracks from this one, and follow your advice on giving more attention to the second part with the growling synth. Thank you again for your feedback!
Merci Luigi !
Hey! thank you so much for listening and your tip! I will spend more time on the kick and maybe send another version if it's ok when I am done. Have a great week! Thanks Yoav (jo:af)
Dear Rrose, You are right, I never felt very interested and always felt like i had to go deeper in sound design but my wish to go deep with sound production comes from the usual definition of a ‘good music producer’. And I thought to be able to master destruction, first I felt I needed to know the standard usage. As you described, I actually figured out my own approach to any kind of sound which is more about founded objects and true randomness. I tried to produce straightforward sounds but I think i like playfulness and destruction. Thank you for your real comments and helpful directions!
Hello, thank you for feedback, it really helps. I knew some lacks and some didn't notice, and i was curious what will you tell, so about digital testpress thing is little joke. You have to approve vinyl testpress for final pressing and now, we have this platform for approving and micro mentoring. So i got new version ready. Cheers
Epica del Ritorno! It was a beautiful experience!
Thanks so much, Rrose, for your great feedback! You've pointed out some areas where I can make improvements that I hadn't even thought about before, and your advice is very helpful in guiding me on what to focus on next. I've started putting some of your suggestions into action, and I can already see an improvement. Now, I feel like I have a much clearer idea of what my next steps should be. I also really appreciate your offer to send over an updated version. I'll get right to work on that so I can send it over soon. Thanks again!
I truly appreciated your feedback and the time you spent responding to me. It helped me clarify some important doubts, and it gave me insights to continue this work. In your feedback, you highlighted not only the critical aspects but also the strengths of the piece.
thanks Luigi - some good observations and in particular on arrangement and tension. I will take a look at this. thank you for your time listening and providing feedback - this is very useful
Useful feedbacks as always. Much love!
Hey Luigi, thanks again for your detailed and honest feedback. It helped me a lot with this track, and especially for the following ones!
Thank you so much, Luigi! I appreciate the critical and very useful feedback. Very succinct and applicable. I found it very helpful and upon implementing feel the track is sitting in a much better spot.
Thank you very mutch for the feedback, your point of view was very constructive and the analysis of the track was brilliant. Now i will do my best to follow your advices!
I love your feedback and I am grateful you accepted to give another one on a new version that I will send you asap ! So many things you said resonated with me and your music influenced me a lot during the process, Im not surprised that the monk chant is close to your heart ! That being said I also have mixed feelings and impostor syndrome using this sample but it blended so well with the rest that I struggled to let go of it haha ! I will definitely try to use the intro and see how it could blend with the rest and maybe torture the sample so it becomes something else or simply just completly take it away ! Its an homage at the end of the day : ) Also if possible of course I would love to send another demo for the Echio Academy contest. Thank you so so much for this beautiful and helpful feedback it means a lot to me. Sending a lot of gratitude your way.
Hi Luigi, Thank you for the detailed an honest review ! I'll back to this track for sure to try to implement your suggestions. best regards OBRI
Hi Luigi, thank you so much for the great feedback! It's incredibly specific and clear. Your mix of positive encouragement and really precise suggestions for improvements is exactly the encouragement I needed to get the track finished and release it. I'll be sure to send you the final version when it's done. Thank you again!
Luigi's insights were like a masterclass in fine-tuning my sound. He has an incredible ability to identify exactly where a track can be sharpened to bring out its full potential. His advice on using the right tools for the job has been invaluable; he pointed out specific plugins and production techniques that could elevate my track to a professional level. I'm looking forward to sending more demos his way for feedback in the future. I'm confident that his insights will continue to guide not only my musical journey but also those of others who seek his expertise.
Thanks a lot, that’s what we were looking for, an complete answer, we will check each point of this feedback and too we’ll try each suggestion, to us was a really pleasure that you heard the track and also heard your feedback, we will work on it and if is possible re send you the file for other feedback, thanks again, cheers and be well master 🙏🏻 -By the way, we were doubtful about the beginning too (the panning), it is enlightening to know what you think about it like listener, thanks a lot.
HI Luigi, thanks a lot for your detailed and caring feedback. In my heart you hit all the points that I kind of knew were not quite sitting right. I will for sure work further on this to get the track to where it can get to. thank you again for the time you have taken
It was really eye opening. Luigi made me realize that I was focusing on the wrong things. Can't wait to finish this track! An experienced and objective feedback.. <3
Hello Rrose, Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed feedback! Very precise and very actionable - much appreciated! I will use some elements of your feedback. Very good point about having the "crying synth" being slower/more patient! And the delay copies of the kick are anything but subtle :). Thanks again! Ricardo
Thank you a lot for your feedback, I will work on it to improve the track. I hope everything goes well for you. Happy new year ! :)
Thank you for your help! Very honest feedback that I can use to improve the track and my music in general.
Thank you! this is exactly what I needed in terms of feedback. You're right, I have released a lot of music but it's hard to find actual, constructive feedback, and I don't hear my own tracks out in the clubs so I want to make sure I'm going in the right direction and not just losing it on my own in the studio bubble... great, thorough feedback.
It helped me a lot and was really good to hear some feedback from another perspective ! Thanks :)
Also wanted to add that I loved your set at Garbicz <3
Hi Luigi, Thanks a lot for your feedback - super helpful! Reassuring and at the same time a much-needed broadening of perspective. Relatable examples (helps that Mike Parker is a personal favorite) and thanks for the heads-up about Chiral. I’ll get back to you with more tracks in a while, after getting this EP out the door, getting acquainted with some new gear and implementing your suggestions
I’m super glad I got to submit a track for an objective critique. My concerns and questions regarding my track were addressed and the feedback I received was absolutely useful. I would definitely try this again sometime!
Hi Seth! Thank you so much for the feedback. It was illuminating, and really helped to put into context some of the concepts that you covered in the stream. I have not touched this track since submission, so I will be able to jump back in with fresh ears and take your thoughts into account. I will be sure to submit a newer version to you in the coming weeks. See you in the next stream! - Jacob
The artist records a private video breaking down your track — mix, arrangement, sound design, or whatever you ask them to focus on. It lands in your inbox and you can watch it whenever you want, as many times as you like.
Early sketches are often the most valuable to get feedback on, before you get lost in too many iterations — but finished tracks work too if you want a second opinion or to get on the artist’s radar.
MP3, WAV or AIF, any length. Add a note and links when you upload so the artist knows exactly what to focus on.
Most feedback arrives within a few days. If the artist hasn’t responded within 7 days, you’re automatically refunded.
You can swap the track as long as the artist hasn’t listened yet. After that you can cancel the request for a refund and start a new one.
Yes. Once your feedback is delivered, you’ll find a private message option on your request page. Use it to ask the artist a follow-up question or get clarification on something they mentioned in the video.
