You have given me lots to think about and reference and it's been a nice experience picking your brains! thank you :)
Great feedback with specific tips and suggestions!
- P
Really great feedback! Could tell you took time to listen to the track, much appreciated! The stuff about the club mix vs electronica mix was really useful and helpful for my muddy low end whilst i'm on my mixing journey!
Hey mate, Thanks for the feedback. I've not heard that track but just listened and it's a stunner - I love this kind of thing. Now it's working out the jigsaw puzzle. Think I might leave it to cool for a while before I try. Great feedback though, I see what you mean by getting all the pieces to fit the groove. It takes an absolute genius to get it right!
Hi Philipp! Sorry for the late review, and thanks so much for your valuable advice on making the track cleaner and more percussive. When I’m close to finishing a track, it often feels like there’s some extra space that needs to be filled, or that it’s missing a bit of groove, which is why I tend to add FX here and there. But you’re 100% right, I need to push myself to use them only when they’re really necessary so the track stays clear and easy to follow :) I think I need a little break from this track now haha, but I’ll definitely let you know if I make a V3 or start working on new projects. I will receive my K2000 at the end of the week and will try to make a new track with it soon. It only has the factory presets on it. I’ve seen on the internet that there is a big nerd community that has upgraded their synths and created tons of new presets available online. They replace the floppy disk drive with an SD or USB one, add orchestral cards, extra RAM, etc. To be honest, I’m not a great sound designer, so it sounds interesting to me in terms of presets, but I’m probably even worse with putting my hands into electronic systems. I’ll take some time to explore the factory presets and all the functionality of the synth before making a decision, I guess. Thanks again for all your feedback, I really appreciate it! :) 2RUF

Thanks for the feedback, Philipp! Super constructive — it really helped me get some perspective. I’m going to rework the arrangement to better frame the intro, the peak time, etc. You’re right as well, I’ll simplify the bass — having two dedicated layers made it a bit too complex on the ear. I also think I can rework the melody and the drums; they might be a bit too simple, or too locked to the beat. The real challenge now will be changing all that without losing the essence of the track — not that easy for me haha. It’ll probably take some time, but I’ll of course keep you posted once I’ve got a new version I’m happy with! PS : Loved the full cheese fashion style !

Super useful feedback! I’ve already started applying his suggestions and immediately realized that the direction he pointed out is definitely the right one. Sometimes, what I really need is a professional and experienced external ear — and Kadosh truly represents that kind of insight in today’s modern scene.
Hello Laurel, many thanks for the feedback. Specially your opinion about arrangement and harmony. It is clearly something to improve, not only on this track but as also for future productions. Cheers!
Thank you so much for your invaluable feedback, Massimiliano. I totaly agree with it and will make the changes asap. And thanks for the compliment, it means a lot coming from you :)

Thanks Lauer! Really great feedback, I appreciate your time and input. i'm gonna work on the arrangement and send it through. I also am borrowing a 606 so maybe this can be our 16th note hi hats. Have a good day brother, hope you are feeling better Xx
- G
thank you Massimiliano. I am enthusiastic about developing this track further and you have given me some good insight into how to enhance it

Hi Johannes, Thank you so much for the detailed feedback. I took onboard your suggestions and really appreciate the advice. Here is the updated version for you : https://soundcloud.com/lifecoachwavs/lifecoach-yer-flying/s-zri7orqOkaW I have worked on the arrangement again and decided to make the whole track more gradual and add some stereo synths during the starting section. I added some new hats during the first section and tried to make it sound more like you described. Thanks again, it was perfect to get your opinion on this one :) Mikey
Great as usual! Highly recommended, as usual!! Track ist endlich fertig. Besten Dank Philipp :-)
Thank you very much for your feedback! It's very encouraging! I'm going to try to find the labels you recommended! And I'm going to write to you on Instagram, it will be more practical... It goes without saying that I love what you do! See you soon and sorry if my English is not very good... In fact, my old man's name is Frederique Sueur, see you soon.

AGAIN, highly regard Philipp Lauer's feedback to anyone who really wants to improve with their own music. Also big thanks to the Echio-Team for making it possible, to get this honest, empathic and super helpful feedback from no one else but legendary Lauer.
-
Since Philipp Lauer (Berghain, Robert Johnson, Beats in Space etc...) is an experienced Multi-instrumentalist for years, he understands Dance Music inside out, and therefore knows how to finish High Quality Music within hours - as if he was just cooking an healthy dish for his evening dinner. Now I recieved my second Feedback from Italo-Techno`s Gentlemen-Dinosaur - and again, he shared his knowledge in a very relaxed, highly empathic and super motivational way. I´m looking forward to future Feedbacks from him - and highly (highly) recommend this to anyone - who loves Post-House-Proto-Disco-Trance, or just high quality music in general.
-
Thanks very much for your review, Lauer! I've already made a couple of changes in the track :)
- d
Thanks Massimiliano for taking the time to listen, take notes and provide feedback! I have implemented some of the suggestions you made and it's sounding better now :) I look forward to sending you some more tracks in the future.
- d
Thanks for the feedback. Very helpful. Also the fact that you give the feedback as the track plays and that you got a synth next to you to give some examples of new additions on the spot were very nice touches.

It was a great experience. Massimiliano is a brilliant artist and a kind, generous person. He helped me a lot with my track, and the result was a clear improvement! Amazing. Fammi sapere se vuoi una versione più formale o più entusiasta tipo post social!
Hey Philipp! Thank you so much for the great feedback... hopefully you were able to get my reply!
Hey, thanks for your great and deep feedback! I will have a lot of material to work through :) it is very to the point and very motivating.

I recently had the opportunity to get feedback from Chinaski on my music demo, and it completely transformed my approach. Chinaski's detailed and insightful feedback encouraged me to rethink the entire track. Thanks to his guidance, I've crafted a version of my song that I'm truly proud of. I'm so grateful for his help and can't thank him enough!
Philipp advice is straight to the point and the result of years of experience, but he also is super chill and his delivery is very comforting and soothing. He helped me a great deal finishing this song!
-
Hey Philipp!! thank you so much for the answer I found it super helpful. Really loved the feedback man, direct, and helpful, as it should be. :) I'm actually gonna go back and try implement some of the stuff you mentioned since my mixing engineer hasn't started working on it yet. I talked to my pianist friend about the piano stabs, he also found them a tiny bit off but he said they still work in the track as a whole, so I might leave them as they are, just cause I'm being lazy, but def trying the strings and other arrangement tweaks you mentioned. II would love to send you a v2, perhaps I can request feedback for another track and also throw in a link for the v2 of this one? or does this need another request on its own? ehhe Anyhow, little bird told me you might be coming to Seattle around August, if so, I would LOVE to get a lemonade and talk shop with you!!
- C
Hey Alinka, first of all, I am thrilled to receive your feedback! It took some time to get back to you, because I am currently starting new projects left and right, however I wanted to let you know I fixed the first "drop". I now realise it was a very abrupt jump and I tried to fix that. I may be prioritising the soundscape to the actual tension-buildup... Is there any way I can send you a mixdown or should I wait until I've worked through it?
-
Hi Lauer, thanks a lot for your feedback! It's very helpful and there are a lot of nice tipps, i will try to work them in and rework and try to simplify my track!
Hi Tony Y Not! Thank you for your review and insight. I've started to apply some improvements thinking of your advice. Sending my best.
- R
Very cool Tony! Great super helpful feedback! Will get to work.
- O
Thank you so much for the review! I agree with the suggested changes and will implement them in an updated version. I'll do my best to get them to you in the next few days. Really appreciate the feedback & the consideration for the compilation. Hop you have a great day! Oli
Thank you for the very detailed feedback! We'll see what we can implement from it. Wishing you all the best! Cosym
Thank you so much for taking the time to give me feedback - I appreciate it and will look to implement your comments and suggestions. Regarding your question, I am using a Serum bass preset for the bass, which I remove during the first break (for 16 bars), and bring it back in as I add new and re-add existing elements.
- f
Thank you so much for this great feedback! It's incredibly specific and clear, and I feel like I know exactly what I need to do to get the track finished. I really appreciate your careful listening and encouragement—I'll be sure to send you the final track once I've incorporated your suggestions.
Hey, Thanks for getting back to us again. We’re happy the feedback is positive. I know what you mean about the high bass sound. We have had trouble automating the specific plug in that we were using. Although we like it we’ll cut our losses with it and find another instrument for that line that is more easily adjustable. We’ve got another couple of sessions together coming up so we’ll send you the final cut once this is completed. Thanks again for the help so far, we really appreciate it! Jake & Laurie

Hi Philipp, Sorry to hear you were ill. Hopefully you are much better now. Thank you for the feedback. It was really helpful and amazing to get your thoughts on it. Sorry for the amount of time we took to get back to you with the second version, it's been a busy couple of weeks! We've made some changes to the track based on your suggestions which have hopefully improved it. There's less of different instruments coming in and what we have left in repeats a little more. Hopefully this has made it more cohesive. But yes, when you can, we would love to get your thoughts on this version. We look forward to hearing back from you. Thanks again, Jake and Laurie
Such valuable feedback, thank you so much!! ♥️

This is the 3rd track I've sent to Johannes and his feedback is always precise and helpful. Really happy to hear that my productions are getting better as well.
Thanks a lot for the great feedback Philipp! Particularly liked the fact that you referred back to the previous track and feedback we had exchanged about, and all the hints are perfectly actionable - I’ll tame a bit the horses hahaha 😄 Thanks again!! Cheers, Lionel
-
Buzzing that Johannes has given me much credit for this track and that not much was required to finish it. Good to see where my level is compared to professionals! Thanks again
-
Johannes feedback was a real boost to my current production skills. It's great to receive such positive feedback and to have professional info given to you that you can apply to your own work. I look forward to more feedback in the future.
-
Lauer was very helpful with his feedback with a few suggestions of improvements that will help my track. I appreciate the professional approach he had.
-
Hey Johannes!! Thanks a lot for your really nice and encouraging feedback, I appreciate you could take the time for it during this busy summer :) I’ll work on creating a bit more diversity with the drums, and try to focus the track on one or 2 main elements per your reco! Thanks a lot again!! Lionel
Very nice and helpful Feedback - have been able to develop my track further thanks to the inputs, many thanks!
- d

Frequently asked questions
Music feedback
-
The artist records a private video breaking down your track — mix, arrangement, sound design, or whatever you ask them to focus on. It lands in your inbox and you can watch it whenever you want, as many times as you like.
-
Early sketches are often the most valuable to get feedback on, before you get lost in too many iterations — but finished tracks work too if you want a second opinion or to get on the artist’s radar.
-
MP3, WAV or AIF, any length. Add a note and links when you upload so the artist knows exactly what to focus on.
-
Most feedback arrives within a few days. If the artist hasn’t responded within 7 days, you’re automatically refunded.
-
You can swap the track as long as the artist hasn’t listened yet. After that you can cancel the request for a refund and start a new one.
-
Yes. Once your feedback is delivered, you’ll find a private message option on your request page. Use it to ask the artist a follow-up question or get clarification on something they mentioned in the video.
