Ikonika is one of the most respected names in the UK club diaspora. Best known for their numerous releases on Hyperdub Records, Don’t Be Afraid (DBA), Night Slugs and Planet Mu. They are an artist ever in motion. While certain aspects of their sound remain consistent – a love of club-friendly rhythms purpose built with digital flair and a strong sense of melody – the diversity of their interests ­– pop, R&B, bashment – have become even more apparent in recent music. In 2022 they opened up to singing, giving their productions a lighter pop feel. This includes the Amapiano soaked 'Bubble Up' and ‘Details’ EP. In 2023, they released ‘Supernova on Night Slugs, a retrofuturist dancehall pop project with vocalist 45DiBoss. In early 2024 they collaborated with Karen KG Nyame on ‘All On Me’ which featured as the lead single for foundation.fm's ‘Bodies’ compilation, as well as contributing ‘Where U Gonna Be?’ for Dusky’s 17 Steps imprint
