
A classically trained musician with Chicago roots, London-based Kate Simko’s diverse musical background emanates in her production. From remixing Philip Glass, to scoring films, to writing and arranging an electronic-orchestral album with Jamie Jones, Kate pushes the boundaries of hybrid electronic music. Kate has performed at venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, the Barbican, Berghain, Panorama Bar, Warung, fabric, the Montreal Jazz Festival, Eleven in Tokyo and Fuse in Brussels. Kate completed a Masters in Composition for Screen at the Royal College of Music in 2014, where she created her orchestral-electronic ensemble London Electronic Orchestra. Kate uses Logic Pro, Pro Tools, and Ableton Live, alongside a wide range of synths and plug-ins in her productions. Kate has scored a handful of feature-length films and is a professor of Composition for Screen and Electronic Music at the Royal College of Music in London.
