DJ TENNIS

About

Founder and A&R of Life and Death, Manfredi Romano grew up tour-managing punk bands and organising left-field music events in Italy around the turn of the Millennium. Having completed his studies in computer science at the University of Pisa, Manfredi went on to form DAZE, Italy’s first booking agency solely devoted to electronic music. Drawing on two decades of experience behind the scenes,Romano shifted focus in 2010, establishing himself as a DJ in his own right. As a performer, Tennis valiantly showcases an astute ability to create intimacy in even the vastest of gatherings. As a respected producer, Romano consistently channels his past relationships with post-rock luminaries such as Godspeed You! Black Emperor,Tortoise and Fugazi into intricately-synthesised electronic constellations. Fine chef, Tennis splits his time between Miami and Lisbon, where he enjoys riding motorbikes, collecting vintage action- figures and building upon his vinyl record collection.

Sorry I forgot to provide review for your feedback - Thanks DJ Tennis for your precious advices !!! . I will lower down the voice in the mix, and release but only for DJs (I do not have the rights on the voice sample who comes from Camaron de la Isla, a famous flamenco singer)

Whoa, thank you so much for the feedback - it was super helpful & is highly appreciated :) I added more percussion elements + sound design and used reverb + side-chaining for more structure/focus. Sounds so much better now. Thx again!

Hi, thank you for your detailed feedback. We'll deal with it. What often concerns me is the question of how short a song can be before it is still a song. I agree with you in terms of feeling, but then my head says that's not enough, we have to add something to it to make the song longer. I am pleased to send you the new version again. Thank you very much. Steffi from COSYM

Thank You DJ TENNIS. I appreciate the feedback. I am definitely encouraged that you enjoyed the track, and agree that in some parts there is too much going on. It's simple advice you gave, but now that i've heeded your advice it seems obvious what the track needed. Thanks again to you and this rad platform.

Thank you so much! Great feedback. Yes there is too much going on. I will strip it down.. and I think change the drums.

Thank you man! That's great feedback and I will implement those ideas. The strings are from an Arturia Emulator II plugin. Two tracks layered on top of the other then using Little AlterBoy on different settings on each track.

Music feedback

DJ TENNIS records a private video breaking down your track — mix, arrangement, sound design, or whatever you ask them to focus on. It lands in your inbox and you can watch it whenever you want, as many times as you like.
Early sketches are often the most valuable to get feedback on, before you get lost in too many iterations — but finished tracks work too if you want a second opinion or to get on the artist’s radar.
MP3, WAV or AIF, any length. Add a note and links when you upload so DJ TENNIS knows exactly what to focus on.
Most feedback arrives within a few days. If DJ TENNIS hasn’t responded within 7 days, you’re automatically refunded.
You can swap the track as long as DJ TENNIS hasn’t listened yet. After that you can cancel the request for a refund and start a new one.
Yes. Once your feedback is delivered, you’ll find a private message option on your request page. Use it to ask the artist a follow-up question or get clarification on something they mentioned in the video.
