Really great and useful feedback, appreciate the very specific details on how to get the kick/bass relationship sounding more tight too.

It goes without saying that Fred Everything is one of the foremost producers in deep house today. His insightful and well-balanced feedback was not only invaluable in improving the quality of my track, but also genuinely uplifting on a personal level. Thank you, Fred — your words made a real difference.

Thanks for the constructive critique Mr.Fred.I had second a second guess about the arpeggiated synth melody your ear is greatly appreciated for the tasteful suggestions.I started making boom bap style hip hop music so the lo-fi comments lets me know I’m in the ball park I’d like to be in, enjoy your night/day!

Eithafol May 16, 2024 Feedback from Fred Everything

Hey, sorry I'm late giving feedback. Thanks you so much for this, i definitely have to keep my musicality in check when i'm trying to make house, i struggle with keeping it simple but interesting. I'm working on a new mix and arrangment following your advice, this track is a couple of years old so i'm having to re-work some stuff due to out of date plugin versions . My name isn't eithafol it's just what I use on all my socials (ig & soundlcoud, spotify basically). My real name is that pronouncable either ... Bedwyr. The drums were already going through a tape sim, I'm working on a different buss arrangment for this mix, grouped the kick and bas separately, rest of the drums still going to the drum buss. I'm also applying some of the knowledge i've gained over the last couple of years. I agree with the overuse of the sample, in fact i'm working on the whole arrangment without the sample to make sure i works without it, then i'll bring some of it back in, hopefully tastefully! I'll probably send another track for your opinion after i've finished wokring on this one. Thanks again.

Once again thank you for the professional response!Im open to everything that can be objectively honed in and I’m flattered to hear the arrangement is fine. The mix down tips are greatly appreciated I had a feeling that the low mids had too much going on.I will be revising that soon, and get you an updated cleaner version. Thanks for helping me develop my craft in a positive direction, cheers to you and your awesome work Fred 🫡

Kydawin Jan 19, 2024 Feedback from Adam Pits

Adam answered some questions about my mix and gave me a few things I never thought to try such as EQing the reverb on my chords and leads individually to help create the right space between them. He was very encouraging and said he is also constantly working to improve certain elements in his mix and that is something that you are always working on no matter how much feedback you get. This helped me think about the mixdown process as something you are always improving rather than something you merely learn how to do. Good to know that he goes through this part of the music making process as well, it's probably how he got his tracks to sound so good.

Thanks for the feedback. I will definitely revisit and make some changes as per your comments. Very helpful for future tracks too. This has been the first track I managed to somewhat finish in a long time so need to try and keep momentum. I'm in the process of changing the vocal hook to something with more longevity, I agree the pitched down thing is done already. Thanks so much.
