Another reason why I keep coming back to Mathias it's cause I know I can rely on him for a wide range of styles. Because he's such a skilled mixing engineer, he's able to give me feedback that's focused on the project's own vision, without the constraints of his own personal taste.

I could feel my song wasn't where I wanted it to be mixing-wise, yet I didn't have the words or the full knowledge to understand what was wrong with it. And here comes Mathias, shedding light on the whole thing, providing me with the right, detailed feedback I needed to fix what I needed to fix in order to get back on track. I wish all producers had someone like him to push them with precise information. It's fucking challenging to hear it and to get to work and try to apply it, but in the long run it's what you need in order to grow.

Top feedback as always, M. went super into detail about how to improve my track and was super clear with direction. I'm in the middle of a serious crunch, working on multiple projects back to back, and M. is delivering proper feedback quick and effectively. I fucking love this guy.

It’s helpful to get detailed suggestions, but it’s just as helpful to hear that pretty much everything is where it needs to be. When someone like M. tells you “everything’s fine”, well, you know everything really is fine. Bill Schnee (Steely Dan’s mixing engineer) said “when you know something is good you don’t need to recreate the wheel”. And that in itself is one of the most important feedback from a pro like M.

Feels good to know when I manage to implement successfully fixes suggested by M. It really feels like it improved my track and he knows when to tell me to fix and when to recognize I did work on what he told me. It really is helpful to have an extra set of ears, pro ears, when it comes to making music with intention.
