Joachim Spieth is an electronic music artist with over two decades of experience as a producer, DJ, and founder of the Affin label. His work focuses on atmospheric sound design, spanning ambient, dub techno, and deep techno. Through releases on Kompakt, including contributions to Wolfgang Voigt’s Pop Ambient series, and his own label Affin, he has developed a deep understanding of what makes music work both artistically and in a broader context. His discography spans solo albums such as Irradiance, Vestige, and Retrace, as well as collaborative projects including the Guentner Spieth project with Markus Guentner. Alongside his releases, he created the ongoing Textures sound design series. His work has also been reinterpreted by artists such as Alva Noto, Pole, and Abul Mogard.
