Heyy, sorry for the late reply. Thank you so much for the feedback!! I actually really appreciated that the video was on the longer side. I sadly didn't have much time in between my day job to implement your feedback and was also kind of done with working on it. I've spent way too much energy on that track already. But your feedback is still helpfull for the future. I liked the ideas of the bass kicking in and the stereo width on the melody. The problem I had with boosting the melody volume was that on high volumes the melody can get too ringy but I also liked the resonant quality so I choose to lower the volume a bit. Your idea of making it wider would have been a good comprimise! The kind of mushy break with the cheesyness was a very concious choice. I wanted to play a bit into the nostalgia while not letting it get the overhand in the track. Kind of like the rave version of radio static noise. The track ending on a high not and not building down I also agree with. A bit of lazyness on my part haha. Your insights on mastering are also really usefull! I've always tried doing everything on my own, but hearing this I will see if I can get a professional mastering engineer on board for my next project. Hey Gigi Thanks of the amazingly detailed response super helpful I will work on the points mentioned. Yes I do know about sound id but have not purchased yet. I think my speakers just need to be tuned properly to the room as I do have head type 30 mk2 which are top & mm500 headphones maybe just some frequency are being tuned incorrectly. I will send you a updated version once I've gone through everything again Dwayne

Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to my track and give feedback! It means so much. This is all very helpful. You are correct about the timing of the drums and melody being off. I'm running seven machines and using Ableton to record and mix/edit and I'm also still figuring out how to control them all the way I want. Your feedback is extremely helpful in figuring out how I need to sync them better. Going to work on this more and get that base solid then work in those pads and the melody. Super grateful for your feedback!

It was really beyond my expectations and I feel your feedback will for sure influence the way I craft my sound from now on :) I really appreciate all your comments on the field recording and the little synthy sparks / birds! The way you explain it resonates a lot with me. I will also implement your feedback on the arrangement, percussion and pads. All the explanations were super clear.
