David Haberfeld, aka Honeysmack, is a pioneer of Australia’s electronic and techno scenes, renowned for raw, improvisational hardware-based live sets that fuse Acid, Techno, and experimental sound. Emerging from the underground of the 1990s, he has remained a defining force in live electronic music, continually pushing its boundaries while staying deeply connected to the culture that shaped him. Bringing a punk ethos to live techno, Honeysmack thrives on spontaneity, intensity, and a hands-on approach to sound. Rejecting rigid, pre-programmed sets, his performances unfold as a high-voltage interplay of chaos and control—visceral, physical, and closer in spirit to a live band than a conventional DJ set. This is not DJing. Using drum machines, synthesizers, and modular gear, he builds and reshapes music entirely in real time—no pre-made tracks, no safety nets. Honeysmack records a private video breaking down your track — mix, arrangement, sound design, or whatever you ask them to focus on. It lands in your inbox and you can watch it whenever you want, as many times as you like.
Early sketches are often the most valuable to get feedback on, before you get lost in too many iterations — but finished tracks work too if you want a second opinion or to get on the artist’s radar.
MP3 or WAV, any length. Add a note and links when you upload so Honeysmack knows exactly what to focus on.
Most feedback arrives within a few days. If Honeysmack hasn’t responded within 7 days, you’re automatically refunded.
You can swap the track as long as Honeysmack hasn’t listened yet. After that you can cancel the request for a refund and start a new one.
