Cousin

About

Diving from starlit heights to ocean depths, Cousin’s echoes step through tempos and styles while summoning surreal sonic landscapes centered in spacious atmospherics, subterranean bass pressure and rhythmic hypnotisms. Hailing from Australia, Cousin channels the local flora, infusing his work with their variegated vibrancy. Now found on constant rotation of both hemispheres, creating indelible memories and weaving magical dancefloor moments through clubs and festivals across North America, UK, Europe and Asia.

Whether DJing a teeming warehouse party or conjuring up a mesmerising live set, Cousin’s versatility as an artist and fluency in navigating across different energy levels comes from a place of unrestrained imagination and otherworldly inspiration.

“Cousin - Sending Peace to you as well. Glad you liked the track. Totally picked up where I’m coming from with it. Appreciate the advice as well and being the sounding board/ quality control I’m looking for before mastering and trying to get it out there. Much love to the music you're making and thanks for taking the time to help with my process!”

Great experience. Cousin gave detailed, constructive feedback that helped me refine both the mix and the arrangement of my track. He also shared valuable insights about mastering and releasing music as a new artist. Highly recommended if you’re looking for thoughtful and honest feedback.

Hey dude, thanks for that, ya definitely helpful insight. And appreciate the kind words, always good to receive positive feedback. I find it hard to judge my own material since I'm always my own harshest critic. I'm a fan of both those artists you mentioned and like the idea of connecting with likeminded people, seeing what labels they're working with and so on. I'll reach back out down the line and let you know where this stuff ends up. Cheers man, hope you're well!

Hey Cousin, Sorry for the late reply. I've been quite busy lately and forgot to check out the website. Thank you so much for your advice! I will definitely go back to the project and try to add some more elements to make it more interesting. I would like to know if you also do masterclasses. I might book some sessions with you. Thanks again!

Frequently asked questions

Music feedback

Cousin records a private video breaking down your track — mix, arrangement, sound design, or whatever you ask them to focus on. It lands in your inbox and you can watch it whenever you want, as many times as you like.
Early sketches are often the most valuable to get feedback on, before you get lost in too many iterations — but finished tracks work too if you want a second opinion or to get on the artist’s radar.
MP3, WAV or AIF, any length. Add a note and links when you upload so Cousin knows exactly what to focus on.
Most feedback arrives within a few days. If Cousin hasn’t responded within 7 days, you’re automatically refunded.
You can swap the track as long as Cousin hasn’t listened yet. After that you can cancel the request for a refund and start a new one.
Yes. Once your feedback is delivered, you’ll find a private message option on your request page. Use it to ask the artist a follow-up question or get clarification on something they mentioned in the video.
