SUBMARINE

About

I am Submarine, also known as Jonas Briere, a Drum and Bass artist from Berlin, Germany. My unique blend of dark and atmospheric sounds has earned me a reputation in the music scene. I released my first tracks on Demand Records in the early 2010s, characterized by deep basslines, intricate rhythms, and a haunting atmosphere. I am exclusively signed to Alix Perez's renowned label, 1985 Music, and have performed at numerous events and festivals worldwide with my high-energy sets that captivate audiences. Alongside my music career, I work as a mixing engineer at a dubbing studio in Berlin, using my expertise and passion for sound design to enhance the audio quality of films and other media projects. Additionally, I founded S03 Studio, my own sound design agency where I collaborate with clients to create custom sound effects and soundtracks for films, ads, video games, and more.

Thanks Sub for the feedback to all my tracks. It seems you have understand where Im coming from and where I'm trying to go and what I want to achieve. You said enough to make me realise what I'm missing and I now know what I need to work on to level these and my other tracks up. Respect!!

For me, Alix Perez chooses only the most forward thinking genre pushing artist/ producers for his 1985 imprint. SubMarine is one and for good reason. Those reasons I can only imagine are why I chose SubMarine. I've loosely followed his career and having always been wowed by his production skills and level. I was not disappointed with the critique he gave my work. His thoughts have stabilised my confidence in my production abilities but also given me food for thought in how to level up my game. I'm definitely going to use him again and if you make bass heavy musicthen this is the man for you

Amazing feedback once again man. Super super helpful ideas for how to proceed and explained in easy to understand terms. Especially helpful bits were the suggestion to layer percussion, changing the drum pattern in the bridge/break, adding trap-type hats to pick up the energy, and overall ideas for how to make the track progress and feel more complete. This level of feedback goes a long way and I can't thank you enough for the attention to detail.

Awesome feedback, once again. Really appreciate the encouragement and validation that my track is release-ready, but also providing those crucial pieces of feedback that can take it to the next level. You gave me some great ideas for how to expand on the track, like resampling the existing basses to create interesting transitions and even humming out bass notes I could use for the second drop. That kind of feedback goes a long way for me and it really inspired me and motivated to get back in the project file with solid direction and advice. Thanks!

Thanks so much for answering quickly and in so much depth. You pointed out some really crucial things that I think are really going to take the track to that next level. Something I really appreciated is that you gave really easy-to-understand notes and offered suggestions for how to execute on those fixes. Thanks so much, I'll definitely be sending you more tracks for feedback!

Music feedback

SUBMARINE records a private video breaking down your track — mix, arrangement, sound design, or whatever you ask them to focus on. It lands in your inbox and you can watch it whenever you want, as many times as you like.
Early sketches are often the most valuable to get feedback on, before you get lost in too many iterations — but finished tracks work too if you want a second opinion or to get on the artist’s radar.
MP3 or WAV, any length. Add a note and links when you upload so SUBMARINE knows exactly what to focus on.
Most feedback arrives within a few days. If SUBMARINE hasn’t responded within 7 days, you’re automatically refunded.
You can swap the track as long as SUBMARINE hasn’t listened yet. After that you can cancel the request for a refund and start a new one.
Yes. Once your feedback is delivered, you’ll find a private message option on your request page. Use it to ask the artist a follow-up question or get clarification on something they mentioned in the video.
