Joakim

About

A definitive figure within French music, Joakim has spent his entire category-defying career exploring multiple facets of sound and musical production. His extensive body of work lies at the intersection of music, art and fashion. Informed by his background in classical piano, Joakim is one of the great experimental artists who has one foot in the Avant-Garde and another in the stream of the Pop world. Joakim has unquestionably left his mark on electronic music, modernizing and hybridizing it, while tracing his own path without concern for schools or genres, be it techno, krautrock, ambient, post punk or anything in between.

Music feedback

“Joakims Feedback totally blew my mind. It was full of very usefull tipps, from the technical point of view but also focusing on the musical intention and the whole idea of the track. He was super precise with his comments and very inspiring. I can’t wait to come back with another track or a reviewed version of this one. Thanks Joakim!”

Hi there! Feel free to book a 1-on-1 session with me if you want to talk about music production - from songwriting to mixing - or career. We can discuss your music, demos, how to approach releasing music these days etc. I use mainly Ableton Live and Apple Logic Pro, so don't ask me for tips on FL Studio or Pro Tools ;-) I can also give cooking advice.

Comme à chaques fois, Joakim vise juste, donne ses conseils de manière objective, prend le temps d'analyser sans jugement artistique, mais il le fait toujours avec bienveillance et c'est grâce à ça que ses feedbacks sont toujours très bénéfiques.

Joakim got back really quickly and gave me some good feedback on my demo. He suggested a few techniques I could try to create a bit more movement in parts that I am definitely going to give a go and a few suggestions to improve the mix. I will be using this demo feedback feature again its good to get a professionals input and second pair of ears. Thanks very much John.

I was stuck with my track for months and Joakim's feedback gave me the motivation to work on it again. He pointed out the weaknesses of my track. (for the insta post, hahaha ;) : The platform is ideal for getting inspired, learning new techniques through artists' videos. And the demo feedback has given me the confidence and motivation to keep doing what I love. (Sounds cheesy but it’s true ;)

Frequently asked questions

Music feedback

Joakim records a private video breaking down your track — mix, arrangement, sound design, or whatever you ask them to focus on. It lands in your inbox and you can watch it whenever you want, as many times as you like.
Early sketches are often the most valuable to get feedback on, before you get lost in too many iterations — but finished tracks work too if you want a second opinion or to get on the artist’s radar.
MP3, WAV or AIF, any length. Add a note and links when you upload so Joakim knows exactly what to focus on.
Most feedback arrives within a few days. If Joakim hasn’t responded within 7 days, you’re automatically refunded.
You can swap the track as long as Joakim hasn’t listened yet. After that you can cancel the request for a refund and start a new one.
Yes. Once your feedback is delivered, you’ll find a private message option on your request page. Use it to ask the artist a follow-up question or get clarification on something they mentioned in the video.
