Based on your feedback I believe I'll be working on a separate track to complement it and possibly combine it with a track I already have. To answer your question, I live in Doha, Qatar where most of the music being played is top10 afro house charts and pop remixes. But will be testing it out when the time is right for sure! Hi James, Thanks as always for that - always prefer truth bombs to platitudes. Lots to take away - mainly to get a bit more into the weeds with my sound design. In terms of what I call 'bigger labels' - yes definitely guys like Siamese, Diynamic, Renaissance, Sprout, etc. I think I'll keep running with this track as I think it has something to it, but will rip out the sound design and start from a solid idea and build out again. We can't thank you enough James for taking the time to review our track! You really went above and beyond what we expected re: review/feedback. We felt our track was in a good place sonically, and hearing this from you was a massive boost for our confidence. But beyond that we really appreciate the specific details for how we could keep improving our productions. Experimenting with more unconventional transitions and drum sounds is something we definitely agree with and we will be experimenting with in our upcoming tracks. Re: the length of the track, we agree its definitely on the longer side, it wasn't our intention, but it just felt right as we were building out the arrangement - but we're very open to making an edit or shorter version if needed to get more attention from prospective labels. Thank you again, and we'll definitely be reaching back for feedback on our next productions! Excited for what the future holds :)

Hi James Appreciate the response in a flash! Thank you for that. Like you said, saying “yeah, it’s great” is easy but not the point. Constructive criticism I was looking for and thank you for that. Big boost to hear that 20hours project is at release level. Shows the improvement that comes when you put in the work. I’ve been feeling confident with the low end, rhythm and mix lately so your comments give me more confidence I’m on the right path with what I’ve been doing so far. Synthesise is something i have just started breaking through and coming up with processing tricks to alter preset sounds. Still experimenting and trying to educate myself on that. Feels like I need to do a bit more research on plug ins too. Not that they will make me creative but having something new to play with sometimes creates moments that spark projects. Also the idea with a group of sounds to alternate and edit is something that I’ll definitely implement. Great, overall I’m very happy with it all!!! Thank you again for your time James. James’s feedback was invaluable. Detail given around sound design, arrangement, and mix. I was also advised on labels and who may be interested in this. Guidance on how I might present the track in the form of an EP was a great suggestion. I’ve already implemented his suggestions.
