“This is the OXI One Mark II, which controls everything in the studio. It's absolutely amazing to have everything at your fingertips, and it's a constant exchange of creativity between the machine and myself, which in my opinion, is all you can ask for a sequencer. It's very fun to use, which is also very important.Super straightforward, lots of performance possibilities for live set.And speaking of live sets, it's amazing to be able to plug that cable into this little expander and have your whole system ready to go.”
“The Intellijel Atlantis is a modern interpretation of the SH-101 in Eurorack format.I absolutely love it because it's super portable, it's a full synth, it's super easy to bring in a live system, and the layout is absolutely legible, pretty much like the SH-101.The sound is both super close to the original and pushes the envelope a bit further because you have a modulator that can be a second oscillator. There's basically no, no settings that sounds bad on this thing.I use it all the time for bassline, for lead.It can sound mystic, it can sound gnarly, it can do FM.It's a beautiful, beautiful full voice in Eurorack, which I can't recommend”
“At the risk of sounding extremely unoriginal, I absolutely adore the 9 oh 9.It's my only drum machine.I can't get tired of its sound. It's just endorphin rush every time you open the hi-hat and the cymbal.I can't describe it.It just sounds so good. It's just a classic for a reason.Reliable sounds that work all the time and fit into a mix whatever you do.”
“The Eventide Eclipse Harmonizer. It's an effect processor which I use mostly for reverbs, but it can do anything from pitch shifting to delay. It has that classic Eventide gigantic pristine sound that we know and love. It's particularly amazing with the Atlantis. These 2 just gel together. It can get really creative. It can get really out there. It's a very powerful sound design tool, produces some of the most beautiful tails I've ever heard seconds and seconds after the last synth sound ended. It's just a pure beauty to listen to.”
“The Overstayer modular channel.I would be lying if I didn't say this is by far my favorite piece in the studio. If I had to keep only one thing, it would be this.It makes everything sound gigantic and amazing, and you can get away with tracks that are bare bones. The saturation is absolutely gorgeous.It's-- it can be quite subtle, but it can also absolutely mangle your sound and destroy it to oblivion, which obviously is very fun.It has a sonic quality that is unmatched.”
I got into making music via modular synthesizers and to this day they are my tool of choice in the studio as well as in clubs. Gravitating towards the loopy side of techno, my live sets always leave a big part to improvisation. I played his live sets in clubs such as Radion…
